Nicole is absolutely amazing. She is an incredibly talented photographer. Every summer our time spent being captured in Nicole's amazing photographs has become tradition. She is great with our children and she creates and finds the sweetest moments for our family. Her photos are framed all over our home, preserving the memories of our special time on the Vineyard. LOOK NO FURTHER!! Our family has been vacationing on Martha's Vineyard for years. We've never taken the time to get professional pictures done. Now I'm wishing we could turn back time. Best photographer we've ever worked with! Nicole has a magic way of capturing the true spirit of our family in her photographs. We've loved not only the photos, but also the photo shoots themselves. People love photographs, but most of us don’t enjoy getting our photos taken. 25 wonderful years of experience, a sense of humor and my own feelings of not liking being photographed (hence a favorite casual shot of me here with my husband's hand on my shoulder) make it possible for me to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. My favorite things to hear after a shoot as I pack up my equipment are "That was fun!" and "That was easy!" The biggest compliment is when portrait customers return year after year for another portrait and wedding couples return years later with their kids. I specialize in portraits of all types - family, couples, groups, headshots - as well as interiors and other projects.

I have been a portrait and wedding photographer on Martha’s Vineyard for 25 years. Although I retired from photographing large weddings in 2018, I am enjoying environmental portrait sessions more than ever. I studied photography at Smith College and worked in the Photography Department at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC before moving to the Vineyard. My fascination as a child with our family photo albums is what inspired me to become a photographer. Preserving the particular moment in time and giving it back to you for posterity is my passion: it is the truest definition of "making memories". I am pleased that my clients enjoy the experience of our session and that they love their photographs. Your family is one-of-a-kind and I try to capture the most "you" you during your session so that when you look at your photos years later you’ll say, "That's not just how we looked, that's how we felt."
